Cornerstone's vision is to reach families through ministering to children of all ages. This means that every Sunday your child is in the forefront of our minds. We have designed a Sunday morning experience that allows children to participate in their own worship service with age-appropriate and Bible-based curriculum. We like to think of our Kids' Ministry as a biblical adventure that empowers a faith that grows. It's as simple as ...

Jesus - Loves - Me -This I Know - Yes, Jesus Loves Me

The age of dependency and wonder

Children this age need to know that Jesus and God really exist and love them. At this stage of wonder, we encourage our volunteers to engage each child in their eagerness to learn and to be deliberate in sharing the names Jesus and God with them. Repetition is key at this age ... the words Jesus Loves You never grows old.

During both worship services, our loving nursery staff is waiting to welcome your infants through age two in our three-room nursery area. The large nursery room is fully equipped with age-appropriate sanitized toys, baby swings, exer-saucers, high chairs and playpens. The Nursing Nook is set aside specifically for nursing moms. The Snoozy Spot is for sleeping babies. Our nursery staff will help you through our sign-in procedures and, as a security measure, parents receive a numbered beeper that allows us to alert you of any needs during the worship service.

If your toddler is ready for more than just play, they are welcome to join our 2s class where they will explore God's loving promises through fun and interactive Bible stories, combined with age-appropriate activities that compliment each lesson. For security purposes, parents receive a numbered beeper.

The age of how, what and why

Children within this age range need to be captured by the greatness of God. Our volunteers help children hear, see and learn about all that God and Jesus have done through exciting, interactive Bible stories. Children at this stage now know that Jesus exists and have learned truths about Him by being introduced to His Word, the Bible.

If your three year old is ready to advance to tour 3s class, part of this experience includes a time of worship with the boys and girls in our PreK-lst grade Kids' Church in preparation for their transition next year. In the meantime, your child will be in a comfortable environment with interactive Bible stories, combined with age-appropriate activities that compliment each lesson. For security purposes, parents have the option to receive a numbered beeper that allows us to alert you of any needs during the worship service.

Preschool-age children have an opportunity to interact with a worship team, large group teaching team and small group leaders. Each child is assigned to a group of 8-10 children and will remain in their small group throughout the morning for a Bible story, worship, games, crafts and fun.

The age of me, my and mine

As children begin school and start building relationships, they need to know that the Jesus they have been introduced to wants to have a personal relationship with them. Small groups are now a priority where the children are given the opportunity to share what is going on in their lives and learn to pray for these situations as a group of friends. It is a great time to introduce God as their forever friend.

The age of "that's not fair!"

This age of competence and confidence gives children a great awareness of the importance of rules and what it means to be fair. At this stage, children are continually offered the opportunity to begin or continue in their relationship with Jesus. As their reading skills and knowledge increase, our volunteers teach them that the Bible is a reliable place to turn to when they want to know how to have a relationship with Jesus and find the answers to life's hard questions.

The age of independence and belonging

While children are still offered the opportunity to begin a relationship with Jesus, they are also show the importance of dependence on Him. During this crucial time of social growth, our volunteers are equipped to prepare kids to have boldness in their faith and beliefs with these words of truth: "When I feel pressured by my friends or when I'm being threatened, pushed around or feel lonely, I remember, Yes, Jesus Loves Me!"
